Just yesterday I received a wonderful message from a close friend of mine. It goes like this:
क्या हुआ… जो मेरे लब तेरे लब से मिल गए
माफ़ ना करो…ना सही…बदला तो ले लो…
To which my soulful heart responded like this. Appreciate, if you like it. Live it if you are a true lover or else do whatever you please....of course...you're absolutely free to believe what you trust.
जुर्म ये नहीं मेरी जान की तेरे लबों से मेरे लब क्यूँ मिल गए,
जुर्म ये के देख ये हसीं नज़ारा ज़माने वाले जल गए.…
जुर्म ये नहीं मेरी जान की.…
मोहब्बत की हकीकत इस कदर नागवार गुजरी उनपे,
की तबाह उनके सारे ज़मीनी ख्वाब हो गये…
जुर्म ये नहीं मेरी जान की.…
जुर्म बड़ा जो था तो सजा भी बड़ी ही मिली,
दिलवालों के मालिक दिमागवाले हो गये…
जुर्म ये नहीं मेरी जान की.…
ज़ुल्म दीवानों की दीवानगी पे भला कब तक ढाते इश्क़ के दुश्मन,
बंदगी दीवानों की देख काहिलों के भी आज तो सर झुक गये…
जुर्म ये नहीं मेरी जान की.…
Now, please oblige me by once again reading the topmost lines with my additional input to it with due respect to the original writer of that thought. Needless to say that more than reading its more intelligent to read the message between the lines...
