One message which is doing the rounds in the mobile and Internet circuit after the recent bomb blasts in Mumbai on 13th of July is about the security of Indians. It taunts the government of India by asking it not to nab or kill the bomb blasters but to provide Indians with Ajmal Kasaab kind of security.
The message coyly then asks the receiver of the message to forward it to all Indians.
My response to such - Government does nothing - kind of message goes like this :
If you want Ajmal Kasaab kind of security;
You will have to first lead the same kind of pathetic life that he led in Pakistan...
Then, you will have to reject the voice of your conscience to become what Kasaab ultimately became...
Then, you will have to kill for money and also for those beliefs which are not at all yours but are forced upon your throat by a merciless society...
Then, you will have to choose to live an un-spirited life as a slave of mortal fear...
Then, you will have to prepare yourself to bear all such savage brutalities and tortures from the hands of police which never get printed or shown in media...
Then, you will have to actually kill innocent people, children and ladies included, in cold blood...
Then, you will have to face the ire & hatred of 120 crore people day-in and day-out till you are alive...
Then, you will have to really feel guilty for letting your mind rule your heart...
You start to want instant death more than life or security that your so called well-wishing promised you with, not so far ago...
But your wish will not be granted so easily - not until your soul is pure.
That, to me, is real justice...
That is what i call real Hindustani law befitting real Hindu tradition of love and compassion.
The supporters of Islamic law of - EYE FOR AN EYE have definitely forwarded that hate message which most probably got created by Hindustani terrorists.
Since you have forwarded that message to me too, may i ask as to when did you change your religion....?????
The other side of the story is as follows :
The life insurance companies who thrive on mortal fear would certainly like to nab the opportunity by providing wholesome security to such fear. A high premium policy for all Indians against untimely death seems to be perfect answer to safeguard the financial interests of the decease's family.
The question is - What about the emotional interests of the family?
Well, one can argue that time heals all such emotional traumas and life moves on.
That brings me to the second question - What about the interests of the deceased himself?
True, posthumously the deceased does not have any interests but then why should he invest so heavily in insuring a life which he would not have?
Being a true Indian who puts his family's interests before his own, he would still go for the deal. One another reason that will make him go for the deal is his latent desire to be known as a good, responsible family man. His family, if not in his life, at least after his death will surely thank him for what he left for them and daily garland his A4 size picture hanged religiously in the drawing room.
Oh man....your desires make you such a fool.
You loose your life for no apparent fault of yours and the society pays you handsome tributaries post humously for being such a fool. The priests that perform your last rites blame your destiny or Karma for your untimely death and you think that am i, along with my fellow bomb blast sufferers, the only culprits in entire Mumbai? Are all other survivors some kind of saints? Or their Karma too are just waiting for their destinies to ripe?
Just as you are lost in such thoughts of total insignificance now, you are pleasantly surprised to note that a soothing voice is welcoming you at the door to heaven. The gate opens and you see blissful light everywhere. An Apsara holds your hand delicately and tells you not to worry anymore as it is time for your spirit to be one with the holy spirit.
That is exactly the point where you suddenly realise that you have been transported to heaven to save you the pains of living a hellish life in India ; that you are not at all a sinner but are a blessed one.
You can also see some of your fellow brethren who lost their lives on that bomb blast day but wait...
Where are the others?
The light tells you that they are on their journey back to hell on planet Earth. Their spirits are given one more chance to lead their lives in such a way that they earn their place in heaven.
You protest,"But i never once did feel that life in India or planet Earth is a hell. Challenging it is, but certainly not hell."
"That is exactly why you are here my dear child," tells you the holy spirit in its booming voice.
