Holistic Education

One of the reasons for me to leave the 'school teacher job' is the autocratic, business minded and capitalistic mentality of the administrators and managements of the so called education service industry.

Pray for humanism in the society and the humanity on humanitarian grounds.

Amen

My erstwhile school mate, after watching the above shared video link, asked me two pertinent questions regarding education service industry in India. She knew that I did work for CBSE affiliated schools in Ujjain M.P. for a period of 10 years and hence the queries were natural, viz;
1. Is it true?
2. Are teachers and schools responsible for a weak student?

I am sharing my candid response to both the queries.

1. Yes it is true to a certain extent. True to a huge percentage when it comes to the autocratic, business minded & capitalistic mentality of School administrators and managements but certain teachers do try hard to stay aloof and away from such duels and give their best to the students. However, I find it difficult to be stoic when as a teacher I am indeed part of the whole and the system.
The current so called education service industry which is in the high-handed hands of the renowned autocratic politicians and esteemed aristocrats does compel even a sacrosanct employee to do the job as per the philosophy of the monarchial employer.

2. Yes...upto a certain degree a teacher is certainly responsible for not nurturing the WEAK student in such a personalised or a customised way that could raise that weak student's IQ, EQ levels & grades from weak to average, above average or excellent level.
Nevertheless, parents and society share a bigger chunk of RESPONSIBILITY for a student's IQ, EQ and MENTAL status because a student spends only 6 hours of time in the school premises and just an hour or so with a subject teacher in 24 hours. Nonetheless, the same student spends larger chunk of time (16 to 18 hours in a day) with parents and society and hence they can't shrug their shoulders from their quota of 'child status responsibility' by just paying the school fees on time.
Raising a upbringing a child is a much more vital task than just reproducing a child on the transient urge of basic or natural instincts.
Art of Parenting is as much significant as is the Art of Teaching. Both go hand-in-hand to nourish the offspring in order to make a world class citizen and humanitarian earthling out of a baby.
